Importance of Words - To woo ladies and more

“So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavour, laziness will not do.” —Dead poets society"

I saw this quote yesterday and thought about how interesting! Words are indeed important to express ones emotions, or points of view.

So this quote below, I must be honest I had to read again a few times to understand what it was trying to say. But I realise it made me think again about the use of words and their ability to make you truly understand what the originator intended.

“If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he were annihilated, the universe would turn to a mighty stranger.” —Emily Bronte, Wuthering Heights
